about jenn

Jenn is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with over 17 years of experience in the private, clinical, and school-based settings. She is dedicated to helping her clients discover ways to express themselves and interact effectively with the special people in their lives. Jenn is experienced in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with Autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), language delay/disorder, stuttering disorder, articulation and phonology disorders, as well as other developmental disorders.

As an experienced SLP, Jenn works with verbal (i.e. spoken words) and non-speaking (i.e. gestures, facial expressions, assistive technology) communicators. For those individuals who are non-speaking or are emergent communicators, Jenn has knowledge and training in the use/programming of low and high tech assistive technology, including Speech Generating Devices (SGDs). She is passionate about working with children and their device, and helping the child incorporate Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) into their daily activities.

Working closely and collaboratively with a child’s parents, as well as the professionals providing care (e.g. teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and behavioral therapists), is of utmost importance for Jenn. Strategies and therapeutic techniques are tailored to meet each child’s specific needs, and shared across disciplines to promote successful outcomes.

Jenn holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (#12084944) and is licensed by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board (#17249) to practice speech pathology in the state of California.
