Working with Ms. Jenn really transformed my son. Before he started working with her, very few people could understand him when he spoke. We had even gone to another speech therapist and not much had changed. We would go week after week and he showed little to no improvement. And then we met Ms. Jenn. By the end of the first session with her, my son's speech started improving. The techniques she uses allowed him to get an understanding of how to produce the proper sounds. She makes the lessons both fun and informative. She is positive and encouraging, she challenges without pushing, and she really listens to what they have to say. That is a gift. To really listen to the kids who can't be understood and make them feel confident about what they are saying is a rare quality. She forever changed the course of his little life. Ms. Jenn is hands down THE BEST and I would recommend her to anyone looking for quality speech therapy with positive results.

My son, S,  has autism and is nonverbal. He uses an ipad with proloquo2go as his communication system, and  he had been through no less than 5 speech therapists before we were lucky enough to find Jenn.   Jenn is more knowledgeable and more experienced with this software than any other speech therapist we have worked with!  She really understands the system and has a structured, methodical approach to building his vocabulary.  The other thing that makes Jenn's approach unique is that she integrates  speech and language into S's daily life.  She works directly with S's ABA therapists, nannies, and with us -- his parents -- so that everyone can apply her techniques through his whole life, not just when he's in speech.  Personally, Jenn is flexible, adaptable and goes the extra mile.  Unlike other speech therapists, she does not use a "cookie cutter" approach.  She knows every child is different with a unique set of needs.  She attends S's ABA team's meetings so that we can make sure everyone is on the same page.  She meets S where he is at, engages with him (no easy task!), and incorporates activities he enjoys into his therapy -- sometimes even working while on the trampoline!  S's made more progress with speech this year than ever before.  I honestly can't recommend Jenn enough!!

I can’t begin to say enough about Jennifer Holcombe, or "Ms. Jenn" as my kids call her. She absolutley changed all our lives.  From Day 1, I saw how kind, gentle, creative and genuine she was. Over the course of a year for my daughter, now 4, I saw my shy, hesitant delayed speaker turn into a confident, happy and engaging little girl! No longer feeling uneasy to talk to others, she now is so talkitive and more than age-appropriate in her speech. My son, age 9, who was once "on the ADHD curve" is now above-average in his class and is extremely confident in his work. Both my children's teachers noticed the change and progress they showed. I honestly can say that Jennifer has completely changed our lives. My husband and I used to worry ourselves sick about our childrens educational future, and now, I can say with a full heart THANK YOU Jennifer Holcombe, for all your amazing time, love, patience and work you gave to my children. All her creative, new and FUN ways to correct my daughters speech and my son's language abilities were absolutely amazing!

When we started with Jenn my daughter was 5. As a mom of a child who is pre-verbal, with Autism, I couldn’t give up hope that someday, somehow in any way that my daughter would be able to communicate. I’ve researched and reached out to a lot of speech therapists and gladly found Jenn- a blessing. She was so professional and on top of things, followed through with what my daughter really needed at that certain time. Two days after meeting her and introducing the AAC device for my daughter the way it was supposed to be (I didn’t know back then that it was set up for a certain mechanism, so my daughter never really liked it until Jenn came and fixed it), my daughter started communicating with us functionally. I could cry! I was always vocal with Jenn as how thankful I am for her for really putting up with my daughter, and including Jaxon [her dog] in the sessions. My daughter may not have spoken quite as much as we wanted but for her to functionally tell us what she needs and wants for daily living and be less frustrated, made me hope that her voice will be there some day.
